Pie Gabriela is a small Armenian restaurant in Jurmala. It is very casual with wooden tables and chairs. The menu includes everything from stuffed grape leaves to Armenian BBQ, (Shashlik). I have eaten there many times and the food has always been very tasty and good quality as well as filling portions. The prices are very reasonable. For instance, 2 large pork filet Shashlik with a side of rice costs 3.80 Lvl.
So if you want a great, tasty meal at a reasonable price I highly recommend Pie Gabriela.
One note of caution….
I ate there once with some relatives and one of them found a piece of an old toothpick in his salad. He showed this to the waitress and she just shrugged and brought him a new salad. So do not expect great customer service at Pie Gabriela. This is old Soviet style customer service.
But the food is still great and the wait staff are still friendly. And reasonable prices and good food are not easy to find in Jurmala.
