Caffe 76 is a simple little neighborhood restaurant in the Zolitude area with 4 tables inside and 4 outside when the weather is warm enough. It is clean and comfortable. Their menu is pretty diverse and includes some salads, soups, pastas, pizza and hamburgers. Some of my neighbors like the pizza there. I tried it once and was not impressed. The sauce was too sweet for me and had no real flavor. I tend to like very tasty pizza sauce with lots of garlic. I find the hamburgers pretty good. They put some herb in the meat mix that tastes a bit like thyme. All their dishes seem to be made with fresh ingredients and are cooked to order. They have been very good about making adjustments on request and they seem to remember my preferences when I come back in. They do not charge extra for condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise which I really appreciate. All they need is a chocolate malt and I would give the place 10 stars. 🙂
The prices are quite reasonable and the service is excellent. They speak English as well as Latvian and Russian. They also have takeaway.
I can comfortably recommend Caffe 76 to you if you are in the Zolitude neighborhood and would like a tasty and fresh meal at a reasonable price.
