The Grill London is a restaurant in the Akropole shopping mall. It is clean, new, and well designed. I ate at Grill London with three other people. Two people had the fish, one person had a steak and I ordered a burger. The fish dishes seemed fine. Portions were small but the meal was reported to be ok. The meat dishes were another story.
The ‘steak’ was ordered medium and came as a tiny little piece of over cooked and tough beef. The ‘fries’ were just thinly sliced potatoes fried so that they looked more like potato chips. When served it looked like a joke.
The ‘burger’ was ordered plain. It came as two tiny, bite sized pieces of over cooked tenderloin on a huge bun. It also looked like a joke burger.
When I mentioned all of this to the waiter he shrugged and did not know what to do.
The entire meal came to almost 50 euros.
This is one of those restaurants I would suggest staying away from. The owner approached me as we were leaving because she saw that I had left a bad review on Google. She was very concerned that I had posted a bad review about her restaurant and asked why I had not consulted her when I first got my meal. Of course, I did not know who she was when I received my meal. She was primarily concerned about the bad review, not about the bad food. I promised to delete my review on Google. She offered a free desert but we had already paid were leaving and had no desire to eat there again.
The ‘chef’ appears to attempt to be too creative without any real experience in how to make a good meal. Or, this is a franchise and the nice people who bought the franchise are not experienced in the restaurant business.
If you like good food at a reasonable price then Grill London is not the place to eat.
